Position Summary
Command Cyber Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer who will be responsible for managing complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Supports LAN Lead in executing regional upgrades, maintaining network diagrams, and ensuring baseline compliance.
Designs, implements, and maintains the LAN backbone; performs STIG compliance, VLAN/QoS tuning, and automation (Ansible, INFOBLOX).
Assists with network documentation, test plan validation, and post-transition support activities.
Provides technical and administrative direction for personnel responsible for telecommunications network design, implementation, and operations tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards and progress in accordance with schedules.
Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major network installations.
Prepares milestone status reports, and deliveries/ presentations on network progress to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives
Education, Certification and Experience Requirements
Clearance Requirement: Active Moderate Risk, Secret, Critical Sensitive with a Tier 5/SSBI investigation
Certification Requirements:
Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification.
IAT-I Certification - One of the following required: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, or SSCP
Experience Required
- Five (5) years' relevant experience and relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
- Seven (7) years' network operations experience - Higher Level Education or Military service can be used in lieu of 2 years' network operations experience
- Contractors are required to take applicable DLA and Host Activity site-specific safety training. Contractors are required to take OSHA compliant Aerial Lift Training prior to the use of Aerial Lifts
Experience in managing the evaluation and cost estimation of voice and data WAN services from telecommunications carriers, designing access and backbone networks using carrier services, or in managing the analysis and design of wireless voice or data networks (using private radio facilities or commercial services)
