Position Summary
Command Cyber Solutions, LLC is seeking a Local Area Network (LAN) Lead who will be responsible for managing complex applications involving all phases of telecommunications network design, implementation, and analysis.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides on-site leadership for each DLA region; directs network sustainment, incident escalation, and coordination with DLA J6.
- Provides technical and regional continuity; supports documentation validation and training for incoming staff.
- Develops required specifications for simple to moderately complex problems. Coordinates with the Vendor PM, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
- Assist Network Engineering team with equipment lifecycle planning and installation, as well as development of technical specifications for procurement of Enterprise LAN equipment
- Coordinate with the Network Engineering team for the placement and cabling of LAN equipment within the DLA enclave
- Development of market research for new equipment and provide recommendations to Government POC
- Provide input on LAN designs and architecture as required
- Perform lab testing of LAN equipment
- Provide knowledge transfer to the NTS-LAN government staff
- Track assigned projects, provide regular updates to the Task Order Project Manager (PM) and Government POC
- Attend meetings regarding LAN support and assigned projects
- Task, track, monitor and report on tickets, projects, and special assignments within their area of responsibility
Ensure LAN network diagrams are kept up to date with all diagrams being reviewed/updated at a minimum annually.
Education, Certification and Experience Requirements
Clearance Requirement: Active Moderate Risk, Secret, Critical Sensitive with a Tier 5/SSBI investigation
Certification Requirements:
Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification.
IAT-I Certification - One of the following required: A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, or SSCP
Experience Required:
- Five (5) years of progressive LAN experience including at least two projects in technical task areas. At least one project must have occurred within the past three (3) years.
- Contractors are required to take applicable DLA and Host Activity site-specific safety training. Contractors are required to take OSHA compliant Aerial Lift Training prior to the use of Aerial Lifts
- Knowledge of all phases of Wide Area range-based fiber-optic telecommunications network design, which includes network operating systems, software and hardware integration, infrastructure planning/installation, and enterprise management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
