Principal SIGINT Engineer
LOCATION: Dayton, OH WPAFB

Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Principal SIGINT Engineer located at WPAFB Dayton, OH to support our ISR/SOF contract.
The ISR/SOF Directorate (AFLCMC/WI) is responsible for equipping our warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a large acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Principal: Possesses expert knowledge, experience, and recognized ability to be considered an industry leader in their technical / professional field. Typically performs the following kinds of functions: initiates, oversees, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analyses, evaluations, and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; consults with client to define needs or problems; oversees studies; and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions. Possesses the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of junior, journeyman, and senior contractor personnel within and across multiple technical / professional disciplines. (Program Office, Enterprise, Staff and Executive Level Support interface)

Functionally Aligned Minimum Education and Experience :
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, 12 years of which must be in the DoD.
- OR bachelor's degree in a related field and 25 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, 15 years of which must be in the DoD.
- OR, 30 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Contractor will apply program management/system engineering experience focused on cutting edge technology transition planning for a programmable C4ISR multi-mission, multi-service system that can simultaneously conduct communication relay and translation, SIGINT, EW and information operations.
- The Contractor will provide test and evaluation support for the Airborne Signals Intelligence Payload (ASIP) system.
- The Contractor will provide expertise necessary to assist in the designing, planning, execution, analysis, and reporting phases of test and evaluation programs (including any applicable FAA certifications and procedures) to assess the performance of aeronautical systems, subsystems, and equipment, as they progress through the various acquisition phases/milestones.
- The Contractor will assist with preparing, maintaining, updating, and reviewing the full range of test and test-related documentation for adequacy, specification/performance requirement compliance, conformity with mandatory guidance, and providing recommendations as necessary for improvement.
- The Contractor will provide recommendations on integrated data processing, software, and analysis considerations.
- The Contractor will participate in integrated test teams, test readiness reviews and other test related program events as necessary.
- The Contractor will assist with performing data analysis using modeling and simulation techniques, models, computer simulations, or other tools/methods as necessary.
- The Contractor will apply experience with AF acquisition management, C4ISR systems, and systems integration management experience solving organizational, communications and program execution issues.
- The Contractor will present creative solutions to service organizations that are locked into multi-year schedules and systems.
