Description
SAIC is seeking a part time Energetics Engineer at the Tomahawk Program Office, PMA-280, The applicant will work with other engineers and provide support for energetic component testing, recertification, and in-service and production engineering. This includes failure investigations, energetic component test and analysis, and configuration management of technical data.
SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
• Experience with ordnance assessment testing and ballistic analysis
• Experience with multi-axes/multi-load cell test stands is preferred
• Experience with failure investigations
• Experience developing aging trend predictions from test data
• Possess strong MS Office skills to include, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project
• Experience developing/managing databases in MS Access is preferred
• Experience drafting and presenting drawing and specification changes via Engineering Review Boards
• Experience working in teams and individually
• Experience with tracking and managing projects
• Experience handling multiple assignments and tasks in a dynamic environment
• Possess excellent verbal/written communications skills and attention to detail
• Experience with technical report writing and weekly report writing
• Some travel required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be a US citizens with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is preferred.

Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.

- BS degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering (or similar).
- 25+ years of experience with the design and analysis of energetic items.
- Strong knowledge of energetics fundamentals.
- Experience analyzing ballistic and non-destructive test (NDT) data.
- Job experience with DoD.
