Description
CPT is seeking an experienced IT Admin Manager to oversee day-to-day IT operations and ensure the security, reliability, and compliance of our corporate network and systems. This individual will serve as the sole IT administrator at our Orlando office, responsible for internal helpdesk/ticketing management, Microsoft 365 and SharePoint administration, endpoint and network security, and ensuring compliance with NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC Level 2 requirements. As CPT continues to grow, this position will have the opportunity to lead and build a helpdesk and IT support team, formalize IT policies, and manage larger technology projects supporting both corporate and program operations.

As CPT continues to grow, this position will have the opportunity to lead and build a helpdesk and IT support team, formalize IT policies, and manage larger technology projects supporting both corporate and program operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all internal IT operations and support requests.
- Administer and improve the helpdesk/ticketing system, define SLAs, track metrics, and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Manage the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of all workstations, mobile devices, and peripheral hardware.
- Maintain and secure corporate networks, servers, and cloud services (Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Azure AD).
- Oversee user account management, group policy, MFA, and identity/access controls consistent with NIST and CMMC requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation (configuration management, incident response, backups, patch management, disaster recovery).
- Serve as the internal compliance lead for NIST 800-171 and CMMC controls; maintain and update the System Security Plan (SSP), POA&Ms, and related security artifacts.
- Manage IT assets and licensing inventory, renewals, and vendor relationships.
- Provide Tier 1-3 support as needed, escalating and resolving complex technical issues.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute IT projects including system migrations, hardware upgrades, and implementation of new collaboration tools.
- Support the creation and maintenance of cybersecurity awareness training and internal audit documentation.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve efficiency, scalability, and security posture.
- Provide executive leadership with reports on network performance, compliance status, and project progress.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree: 10+ years of progressive IT operations experience including at least 3 years in a lead or management role.
- 5-7 years of hands-on experience supporting IT operations, helpdesk, and system administration.
- Proven experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure administration, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Active Directory.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN/VPN/firewalls, switching, wireless networks).
- Demonstrated knowledge of NIST SP 800-171, NIST SP 800-53, and CMMC 2.0 controls.
- Experience developing and maintaining System Security Plans (SSPs) and POA&Ms.
- Familiar with data loss prevention (DLP), endpoint protection, and MFA security tools.
- Proven experience implementing and managing ticketing/helpdesk systems (Zendesk, Jira Service Desk, ServiceNow, or similar).
- Project management experience in planning and executing IT infrastructure or system deployment projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- U.S. citizenship (required for access to CUI and federal systems).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- 8-10+ years of experience in IT operations with 3-5+ years in supervisory roles.
- Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), CISSP, CISM, CISA, or PMP/ITIL Foundation.
- Experience in a DoD contracting environment or supporting FedRAMP/CMMC compliance.
- Familiarity with additional security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, COBIT).
- Experience building and scaling IT support teams.
- Previous experience with VDI environments, Azure Intune, MDM, or cloud security tools.
