Overview/ Job Responsibilities
Sev1Tech is seeking an Application Developer to support the Shipyard's modernization effort, this is a key funded position as part of a strong Agile/DevSecOps team supporting requirements remotely.
*** 100% remote, full-time position***
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Cloud/Software Developer, Journeyman will accomplish the following action items on an Agile team:
Decompose legacy applications into containerized solutions
Work closely with other team members (including the customer) to demo and deliver solutions via short sprint cycles
Must be able to work with minimal supervision and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
Other Duties: Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice and other duties may be assigned by the lead
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or equivalent industry experience in Software Development
Minimum 3 years demonstrated federal or commercial cloud development experience in AWS
Programming languages: Java, NodeJS, Python
Applications/Frameworks/Tools: Springboot/Quarkus, React/Angular, Kubernetes, GitLab, Docker, Jira, Confluence, Maven, Junit, Selenium, JBoss, Oracle Database, Postgres
Self-starter, able to work independently
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Desired Qualifications
Security Plus certification and Operating System Certification
