Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Design, implement, and manage enterprise and service provider networks, including integration with commercial ISPs (e.g., AT&T) and datacenter environments.
· Design, implement, and manage new Cisco-based SDWAN solution, migrating off a JUNOS platform.
· Configure and optimize BGP, MPLS, and enterprise routing architecture.
· Manage WAN connectivity, including troubleshooting and performance tuning for high availability.
· Deploy and support VPN solutions, including site-to-site and encrypted tunnels over the Internet.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient network solutions.
· Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
· Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for escalated issues.
· Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team.
Clearance:
TS/SCI
Certifications:
IAT-III (e.g., CISSP, CASP+, or equivalent)
CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or Juniper certification (JNCIP/JNCIE)
And
Functional area certifications (required prior to start)
· 10+ years Proven experience working with commercial ISPs/service providers and integrating connectivity into datacenter environments.
· Strong knowledge of BGP, MPLS, and enterprise routing protocols.
· Hands-on experience with Juniper networking platforms (Cisco experience a plus).
· Demonstrated expertise with WAN links and performance optimization.
· Experience configuring and supporting VPN solutions (site-to-site, IPsec tunnels, etc.).
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
