Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst for the Sentinel program in Roy, Utah.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Windows Systems Administrator for a medium to large classified government contract.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels and with internal and external customers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network, software, and system engineers, PC desktop technicians, project managers, end users, and IT management.
  • Support multiple networks and complete necessary administration tasks.
  • Collaborate with System Engineering and team members to develop system improvements, upgrades, and solutions.
  • Implement system enhancements to improve performance and reliability, including installation, upgrades/patches, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  • Administer backup and recovery services, manage file systems and disk space, and ensure routine virus protection.
  • Create and maintain user and computer accounts, modify file permissions, and manage security access lists.
  • Test new product releases for compatibility and minimize user impact.
  • Develop and document technical processes and procedures.
  • Recommend hardware, software, and system component purchases.
  • Troubleshoot issues with team members, suppliers, customers, and vendors.
  • Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines.
  • Maintain security audit and logging information on all networked and standalone computers in a classified environment as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM).
  • Prepare security documentation for Computer Security input.
  • Report project status for all recurring and non-recurring efforts.
  • Work independently with minimal direction to develop solutions.
  • Provide end-of-day and end-of-week task status to management.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience, or a master's degree; a high school diploma or equivalent with 6 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance within a reasonable time.
  • Ability to be granted special program access (SAP/SAR) within 1 year of hire.
  • Windows Server Administration and Management experience.
  • Windows Domain architecture experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft MECM, SCCM, WSUS, and/or SMS.
  • Current Security + CE (or other DoD 8570 certification), or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Availability to work after hours and weekends as needed.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft SA or SE level certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory administration.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint architecture and administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with PXE boot and network imaging processes.
  • Experience managing systems under NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments.
  • Experience with computer hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance in a networked environment.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including subnets, routing, and VLANs; Cisco experience and/or certification.
  • Experience with virtual hosting environments like VMWare, Nutanix, KVM, and HyperV.
  • Experience with cloud hosting environments such as AWS and Azure.
  • Familiarity with the Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (HBSS/Solar Winds/Splunk).
  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.


Primary Level Salary Range: $70,200.00 - $105,400.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
