The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity.

As a Systems Engineer - Senior Staffyou will be a technical leader on the weapon systems integration team. You will perform tasks related to the new integration of the NGI All-Up-Round (AUR).
The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge across all the system engineering subject areas to include system design, architecture development, CONOPS, requirements definition, allocation, maintenance, verification/validation, system integration, systems analysis, integration assembly, and test.
In addition, you will:
• Support major design reviews at the vehicle and subsystem-level.
• Support major Flight Test Milestones and range operations
• Lead working groups and collaborate with customer representatives and LM SMEs from various disciplines within NGI.
• Draft and incorporate updates to program-level requirements and verification plans and submit Specification Change Notices (SCNs) as needed for updates to customer-owned documentation.
• Perform System Requirement and Verification process definition, maintenance, and execution
• Support SEI teams in development of requirements and verification plans for subsystem- and unit-level specifications.
• Collaborate and develop relationships with geographically dispersed teams composed of various engineering disciplines.
• Mentor junior engineers in the fundamentals of Systems Engineering and system development.
• Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in a Systems Engineering technical leadership role
• Experience in Systems Integration and Interface Definition
• Experience with one or more of the following:
- Requirements Development, Decomposition, and Allocation
- Verification Planning, Execution, or Results Reporting
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience with DOORS Database Management
• Active or Current Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor of Science from an ABET-accredited program, or equivalent years of experience and education
• Experience with any of the following:
- Specification Development
- Deriving applicable requirements from MIL-STDs
- Briefing at Major Design Reviews
- Missile System Development
- MBSE using Cameo Systems Modeler
- System Integration/Interface Management
- CONOPS or System Architecture Development
- Leading System-level Trade Studies
- Working with the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)
- Leading cross-functional engineering teams.
- Developing presentations and briefing senior leadership and customer representatives
