MANTECH seeks a motivated Configuration and Data Management Analyst to join our Air Force and Space Division team supporting the United States Space Force (USSF), Space Systems Command (SSC), National Security Space Launch (NSSL) Program. This position is based at Los Angeles Air Force Base (LAAFB) in El Segundo, California.
You will help ensure mission success for National Security Space (NSS) launches by enabling full life cycle support across critical engineering and management disciplines. This role supports rocket launch operations through expert-level data and configuration management, proactive stakeholder coordination, and continuous process innovation.

Physical Requirements
You will help ensure mission success for National Security Space (NSS) launches by enabling full life cycle support across critical engineering and management disciplines. This role supports rocket launch operations through expert-level data and configuration management, proactive stakeholder coordination, and continuous process innovation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You will provide comprehensive support to the Configuration Management, Data Management, and Data Architecture (CM/DM/DA) team:
- Acquire, track, and distribute Contract Data Items (CDIs) from each launch service provider (LSP) to designated government evaluators, ensuring on-time evaluations and final close-out.
- Maintain CM/DM/DA status databases and generate reports for management and Contracting Officers.
- Provide technical writing support, including drafting plans, processes, reports, operating instructions, and training materials.
- Communicate proactively with CDI stakeholders, internal MANTECH team members, and the government customer to ensure timely updates and coordination.
- Contribute to the improvement of CM/DM/DA processes and procedures through continuous innovation and implementation.
- Leverage collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office to manage documentation and workflows effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in technical document development, Data Management, Configuration Management, engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence or the ability to quickly become proficient.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Candidates with the following qualifications are highly desired:
- Experience supporting the USAF, USSF, or NSSL Program and familiarity with associated technical writing, Configuration Management, or Data Management standards.
- Prior experience with launch vehicle systems and mission integration support.
- Proficiency in creating and delivering professional presentations to government and internal stakeholders.
- Strong communication, team collaboration, and critical thinking skills.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, WarpDrive, and related collaboration or documentation tools.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this role must be able to:
- Remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
