In this role, you will actively monitor assigned areas, conduct regular patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a strong, visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the designated location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Monitor for suspicious or unusual behavior and report findings to the appropriate authorities.
- Maintain a professional presence while carrying a firearm as required by the post profile and adhere to all applicable laws and company policies regarding armed security-related duties.
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in a timely and accurate manner as required by Allied Universal and the site.
- Assist local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as required during incidents.
- Interact with employees, visitors, and/or the public to provide assistance and information as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Have a minimum of three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
- Possess a current armed guard card or license as required by local regulations.
- Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
- Hold a valid handcuffing certification, which may be completed post hire.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
