Job Description

As a Security Officer - Education Patrol Driver in Rocky Mount, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Officer at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will deliver exceptional customer service and communication as you interact with students, staff, and visitors. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle as well as on foot. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, supporting students, staff, and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, reporting any suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals in the location.
• Work collaboratively with campus personnel and local authorities as required for security-related matters.
• Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities and observations.
• Assist with security-related support for campus events and special functions as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
