OPS Consulting is seeking Software Engineers to work in Annapolis Junction, MD.
The Software Engineer (SWE) will develop, maintain, enhance, and resolve diverse and complex software systems. Working individually and as part of a team, the SWE will utilize software development and design methodologies and provide input to the software components of system design. The role includes evaluating hardware/software trade-offs, leveraging COTS/GOTS software, and performing requirements analysis and synthesis from system-level to software components.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, code, test, and integrate software systems or modify existing software to add new capabilities.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and correct software defects.
  • Participate in design reviews, requirements analysis, and documentation updates.
  • Develop and implement algorithms, data repositories, and software interfaces.
  • Support integration of software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
Required Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

Level 0:

No experience is required.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling four (4) years.

Level 1:
Seven (7) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling eleven (11) years.

Level 2:
Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling eighteen (18) years.

Level 3:
Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling twenty-four (24) years.

Security Clearance:
  • A current government clearance, background investigation, and polygraph are required.

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00

Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
