Network Engineer

The Opportunity

The Network Engineer designs, builds, deploys, installs, troubleshoots and provides support for network systems and related cloud services. Responsible for local and wide area network configuration, management of customer infrastructures, systems planning, capacity planning, testing and validation. Provides technical and engineering support, and deploys and configures networking hardware and software. Tests and assesses network systems, solves problems, mitigates risks, and develops solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages and configures network hardware and software, operating systems and attached devices
• Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation
• Designs, installs, maintains and supports LAN, WAN, video and VoIP infrastructures
• Troubleshoots technical issues, and develops and implements solutions
• Designs, configures and manages network security features for custom networks
• Performs preventive and fault isolation maintenance on existing networks
• Creates and maintains as-built and other systems drawings (flowcharts, diagrams)
• Supports operational and maintenance phase for as-built systems
• Supports data center operations
• Participates in special projects as required
