Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for cybersecurity assessments, system accreditation, and TEMPEST testing.
• Develop and maintain A&A documentation aligned with DoD policies (e.g., DoDI 8500.2, DISA STIGs, NSA guidelines).
• Conduct system architecture analysis from a cybersecurity perspective.
• Identify and document system CONOPS and derive Mission Assurance Categorization.
• Perform SCAP scans and vulnerability assessments to identify security gaps.
• Analyze risks and develop mitigation strategies for viruses and other malicious software.
• Apply DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides to ensure systems meet DoD cybersecurity standards.
• Lead efforts to accredit systems and prepare for internal and external audits.
• Ensure systems comply with DoD cybersecurity frameworks and reporting requirements.
• Conduct and lead TEMPEST testing using approved test plans and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with the current National TEMPEST Standard to prevent electromagnetic leakage of sensitive data.
• Author cybersecurity documentation using tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio.
• Prepare technical presentations and briefings for stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Six (6) years of professional experience in relation to IT security with the DoD or Navy.
• Experience with vulnerability analysis, risk analysis, SCAP scans, DISA Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) implementation, scanning for viruses and other software that is detrimental.
• Qualified experience in accreditation of systems and audits.
• Conducts and leads TEMPEST testing using approved test plan, the production test procedures and the current National TEMPEST Standard. Per DoD Directive 8570.01-M or successor.
• This position is required to be designated as an IT Level 1 with a T3/T3R investigation with a CWF designation at the IAM III level or 541 Work Role Code with the proficiency level of Advanced.
• Must have a Secret clearance or higher depending on the contract requirements.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

A satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTC are required.
