ICS is currently searching for a Security Infrastructure Support Database Administrator, for a new contract within the National Institutes of Health.
Employee(s) performing Database Administrator functions must demonstrate credentials to reflect knowledge, skills, and experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience designing, installing, maintaining, supporting, databases for IT systems with a hybrid infrastructure (on-prem and cloud) environment.
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
• Demonstrate verbal and written communication skills in explaining complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders as well as executive-level reporting.
• Demonstrate familiarity with cloud security concepts, services, and operations (AWS, Azure, O365) including migration and security hardening pertaining to databases.
• Experience supporting, maintaining, and upgrading most common database platforms in a hybrid on-premises and cloud environment.
• Hands-on experience with federal cybersecurity compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53, NIST 800-92, OMB M-21-31, CDM).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for identifying and addressing security issues, root causes, and the ability to resolve issues.
• Experience working with third-party vendors and cross-functional teams.
