Job Title: Senior Network Engineer – Encrypted Classified Networks
Location: Washington, DC (on-site/hybrid as required)
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team supporting a critical U.S. government communications program. This role involves engineering, implementing, and maintaining encrypted classified networks that protect vital national security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, configure, and maintain secure network architectures supporting classified and encrypted communications.
Integrate, troubleshoot, and optimize encryption devices and technologies (e.g., Type 1 KG encryptors, IPsec, VPNs, etc.).
Collaborate with federal stakeholders and technical teams to ensure compliance with CNSS, NSA, and other federal cybersecurity standards.
Conduct risk assessments, implement security controls, and support continuous monitoring for classified network systems.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for network architectures, configurations, and incident responses.
Serve as a senior technical advisor on secure network design, encryption technologies, and emerging cyber threats.
Qualifications:
Active Top Secret
7+ years of experience in network engineering, with strong expertise in secure and classified environments.
Advanced understanding of secure WAN/LAN architectures and network protocols.
Prior experience supporting federal or defense agencies is highly preferred.
Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Professional certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent are strongly preferred.
