Job Description
As a Security Officer - Resort Patrol Full-Time in Honolulu, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol hotel and resort areas to help create a secure environment for guests, staff, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. You will interact with the public, provide helpful information, and respond to routine situations in a professional manner. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the hotel or resort location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
- Assist with access control and observe entry and exit points, helping to maintain authorized flow of people within the premises.
- Communicate and collaborate with the site management team and/or hotel staff regarding security-related matters or emergencies.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
- Remain visible and approachable, providing assistance and directions to guests and staff as needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.

- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess a state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
