Duties

As a TRAINING TECHNICIAN-TITLE 32, GS-1702-9, you will plan, organize, and control the Group training program to ensure combat readiness. Administer Education, Training and Distance Learning Programs. Review training of all personnel and determine methods to accomplish training to include Formal Training Schools, Career Development Course, Professional Military Education, Air Force Testing and On the Job programs. Evaluate training for unit members and track progress via automated training records systems. Coordinate actions with UTMs, supervisors, and higher headquarters training functions at the Wing. Advise Group Commander on the execution of unit training. Manage the classification system to ensure all MXG personnel meet the mandatory requirements and are awarded the correct Air Force Specialty Code. Plan, compile, prioritize, and forecast requirements for formal school training and screen training requests. Manage OJT program for the Group. Conduct Staff Assistance Visits. Conduct unit in and out-processing of personnel to include Permanent Change of Station, ETS and deploying personnel. Coordinate and disseminate training policy and program changes to supervisors and trainers. Manage development of education and training instructional products. Select instructional methods that involve the development of lesson plans, task breakdowns, equipment requirements, and instructional aids. Plan, organize, and coordinate operations of the Maintenance Advance Distance Learning, and multimedia education and training programs. Research, interpret, analyze, and apply DoD, AF, and ANG policies, instructions and guidance. Serve as focal point for all Career Development Course (CDC) enrollments, reenrollments, waiver requests and two-time CDC failures for the Group and subordinate units. Act as the liaison for all reenrollment and waiver requests. Perform other duties as assigned.

RANK REQUIREMENT:
Member must provide in writing with their application package that they are willing to accept a reduction in rank in order to be qualified for this position, if applicable. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard.
You must be assigned to a compatible military position.
Wear of the military uniform.

Must maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation.

This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:
Experience that has provided the knowledge of Air Force vision, values, organization, policy, and mission. Knowledge in military training centers, training programs, schools, and units. Knowledge of Air Force education and training policy requirements

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 24 months experience conducting and developing education and training programs. Experience developing and publishing training schedules. Experience managing programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries. Experience in training program management such as scheduling training events and facilities; conducting assistance visits and training meetings; work center and qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; military personnel classification system and policies; communicative interpersonal skill applications; and distance learning concepts. Experience presenting professional courses and briefings. Experience writing reports and records. Experience organizing and preparing instructional materials. Experience preparing assignments, exercises, demonstrations, training aids, and reference material.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
