Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Patrols in Washington, DC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This driving and armed role requires you to conduct routine patrols and interact with visitors and staff, delivering exceptional customer service and strong communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or vendors while upholding security-related protocols.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
• Work collaboratively with law enforcement and/or emergency responders when required.
• Follow all requirements and procedures related to carrying and managing assigned firearms as per Allied Universal and site-specific policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must possess an active armed guard card or license.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
