Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Full-Time in Charlotte, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment within financial institution locations. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter potential security-related incidents, and interact with staff and visitors to provide superior customer service. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment within the financial institution.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities discovered during patrols or while on post.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other emergency responders when required in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and foster a welcoming atmosphere for clients and staff at the financial institution.
• Adhere to all Allied Universal policies, training standards, and client-specific requirements while performing assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
