Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Patrols FT in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for all occupants. Your visible presence and professional demeanor will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere while you respond to incidents and provide exceptional customer service. This post may require armed duties, reflecting the importance of maintaining a high standard of security-related performance. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including the perimeter and designated areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Observe and report any irregularities or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel or authorities.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying identification as required by site policies.
• Maintain detailed logs and incident reports in accordance with Allied Universal's procedures and client site requirements.
• Support emergency response efforts by following directions from Allied Universal management and/or local authorities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• A minimum of one year of law enforcement experience, or two years of experience as a security supervisor or manager, or three years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
