As a Security Officer - Access Control Tech Facility in Suwanee, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a secure environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials in alignment with established protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing sound judgment and communication skills.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Provide clear information and assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors regarding access procedures and location guidelines.
- Document and report any incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
- Collaborate with team members and site management to support a secure and welcoming environment within a technology-focused location.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
