Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hotel Unarmed Patrol in PHILADELPHIA, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned locations within hotel and education environments, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for guests, staff, and visitors. You will perform routine patrols and remain visible throughout the property, while delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing support to staff, residents, students, and guests as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises, including interior spaces, outdoor areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and maintain a visible presence.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas within the location, reporting any unusual activity or potential concerns according to established protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, contractors, and staff to provide information, directions, or assistance as required.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities during shifts, following Allied Universal and client guidelines.
• Assist with crowd management and/or access control during events or peak periods, as needed in hospitality and education settings.
• Participate in required training sessions to remain current with Allied Universal and client procedures for hospitality and education environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
