Koniag Data Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer HHS GRC to support KDS and our government customer in Washington D.C. This is a Part-time opportunity. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

Koniag Data Services, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer HHS GRC to support our government customer in Washington D.C. This is a part time position. The ideal candidate is a quick worker, an excellent team player, and passionate about delivering visually compelling content that effectively tells a story.

The Senior Graphic Designer plans, designs, develops, and manages the client's digital and printed publications. The position is responsible for using software to create logos, websites, document/email templates, illustrations, brochures, reports, training material design as well as have the capability to edit video. They will have the ability to provide effective advice and counsel on strategic communication and community relation issues. Additionally, the candidate may be responsible for developing internal and external communication programs and services. The candidate must be able to work independently but also fosters a cooperative environment to work in a collaborative fashion with management, peers, and other organizational units.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Design and develop engaging PowerPoint presentations and communication materials that capture attention and clearly convey key messages.
  • Assist the client in telling a compelling story through visual design and structured content.
  • Utilize Visio and Excel as needed to create diagrams, charts, and data visualizations that support storytelling.
  • Apply analytical thinking to interpret data and craft visuals that enhance understanding and impact.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to understand project requirements and deliver polished, professional designs.
  • Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Ensure consistency in style, branding, and visual storytelling across all materials.
  • Incorporate feedback and make revisions promptly.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in graphic design, especially with PowerPoint.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative presentation and communication design.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently on multiple projects.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with Visio and Excel for creating diagrams and data visualizations.
  • Experience in storytelling through visual and data-driven narratives.
  • Ability to work on-site in Washington D.C

Required Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Have a bachelor's degree in English, Fine Art Design, Marketing Journalism, Communication, Graphic Arts, or related
  • 7-9 years' experience
  • 8 years minimum years of related experience
  • Extensive experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, specifically with multimedia presentation
  • Adaptive design eye and skill
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients
  • Photoshop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • SharePoint 2013
  • MS Office 2013
  • Captivate
