We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level UNIX Automation Engineer to join our Enterprise UNIX team. As a UNIX Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of our UNIX-based systems. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $57866 - $98372
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

As a UNIX Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of our UNIX-based systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions using UNIX scripting, Python, or other coding languages
- Collaborate with the UNIX team to identify areas for automation and develop scripts to automate tasks, processes, and workflows
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to UNIX systems, networking, and automation scripts
- Develop and maintain documentation for automation scripts, processes, and procedures
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for UNIX systems and automation scripts
- Work individually and as part of a team to achieve project goals and objectives
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and methodologies in UNIX automation and scripting
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Familiarity with operating systems, networking fundamentals, and UNIX commands and utilities
- Fluency in UNIX scripting (e.g., Bash, Korn, Perl) and/or Python or other coding languages
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn new things quickly and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or SaltStack
- Knowledge of UNIX system administration, including user management, file systems, and network configuration
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Nagios, Syslog, Splunk)
Pay Information
