We are currently seeking a Management Consultant who is ready to join our OPNAV Audit team. This position is located in Washington, DC (Pentagon).
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic, objective, and actionable advisory services that assist the organization in improving productivity and overall performance.
• Support audit efforts for Transportation of Things, Ordnance, OM&S Remainder, and any other segments subsequently identified by the OPNAV N4 Audit Program Management Office.
• Promptly work with OPNAV N4 audit stakeholders to learn how a business transaction ultimately makes its way through the accounting system while we concurrently gain an understanding of the internal controls involved in the process
• Conduct research and analysis of organizational procedures, identify areas for efficiency improvement, and recommend management strategies to enhance mission success.
• Ensure that audit stakeholders formally address Notices of Findings and Recommendations and, if necessary, formally document Corrective Action Plans to resolve any issues.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to implement management initiatives and monitor outcomes.
This is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of eight (8) combined years of professional work experience in a program management position or military service, and possession of an advanced degree in business or a related field.
• Candidates with a bachelor's degree may substitute an additional four (4) years of professional experience in lieu of an advanced degree.
• Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, strategic environment supporting high-level DoD initiatives.
• Proven experience auditing major programs in a federal environment. Highly preferred experience auditing Department of Defense major programs with an emphasis on logistics programs.
The incumbent of this position will be subject to a background investigation and will be required to maintain a Government granted security clearance.
