Description
The Transportation Solutions Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Hardware Engineering Project Manager to work in our Gaithersburg, MD office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) mission. In this mission we provide the foundational platform for the National Airspace System (NAS) to monitor and manage high-altitude aircraft, increasing flight efficiency, safety, and capacity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidates must be able to learn, track and enforce hardware engineering process techniques being used by technical professionals when making changes to the ERAM air traffic management system.

Pay Range: Pay Range $72,150.00 - $130,425.00

The Transportation Solutions Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Hardware Engineering Project Manager to work in our Gaithersburg, MD office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the En Route Automation Modernization (ERAM) mission. In this mission we provide the foundational platform for the National Airspace System (NAS) to monitor and manage high-altitude aircraft, increasing flight efficiency, safety, and capacity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Candidates must be able to learn, track and enforce hardware engineering process techniques being used by technical professionals when making changes to the ERAM air traffic management system.
Required Qualifications:
- Prior experience in understanding technical processes, technical system change management and ensuring engineering professionals executing changes are adhering to defined technical processes.
- Prior experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database software.
- Excellent experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and other Office Suite products
- Candidates must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Must be able to work independently as well as within a group.
- Candidates must be prepared to work schedules with aggressive deadlines for changes to the ERAM system, occasionally requiring work to be performed during off-business hours.
- Must be self-driven and able to multitask.
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience or a master’s degree and less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OHM World Enterprise Resource Planning Database Software
- Experience with Imagesite Engineering Document Management Software
- Experience with Hardware, Systems or Software Engineering Processes
- Experience with performing surveys of commercial off the shelf software (COTS) for end-of-life (EOL) forecasting
- Experience working within the technical or non-technical domain of air traffic management
- Prior experience enforcing standards from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), Common Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
- Prior experience with change management of technical drawings, bill of materials and hardware components
