Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide direct support to a government Program Executive Officer (PEO), Deputy PEO, System Delta Commander, Deputy System Delta Commander and subordinate program/project managers overseeing a multi-billion-dollar portfolio in combat power, space domain awareness and intelligence. This position functions in an advisory role, similar in scope to a Chief of Staff or Deputy, and requires exceptional project management, analytical, and communication skills. The most immediate task at hand will involve support to the Director of Security and Special Access Program Office in restructuring and provisioning efforts across geographically dispersed sites.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and support development of program documentation (e.g., Acquisition Strategies, Systems Engineering Plans, Integrated Master Plans, Training Requirements, organizational agreements) for compliance with DoD and Department of the Air Force policies and guidance.
  • Perform market research and provide acquisition strategy recommendations.
  • Advise and assist with Integrated Product Team organization and execution.
  • Analyze progress against program plans and schedules.
  • Provide program integration advice and strategic process improvement recommendations.
  • Draft and prepare communication materials, including point papers, briefings, communication plans, media releases, and responses to senior leadership requests.


Skills Required


The selected applicant will begin with:
  • Support executive leadership with strategic planning, organizational culture initiatives, resource management, and high-visibility taskings.
  • Analyze and integrate data from multiple classifications to assess portfolio performance and provide actionable insights.
  • Contribute to strategic messaging and coordination to ensure enterprise-wide integration and alignment.
  • This is a critical opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest levels of the Department of Defense and directly support programs essential to national security.



Required Skills and Experience:
  • Master's degree in Management, Business, Acquisition, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, Technology, or Operations Research is preferred.
  • At least 15 equivalent years of experience performing acquisitions management, security leadership or business leadership and planning activities in the government (military and/or civil servant), federal funded research and development center, or profit / non-profit government support / development Contractor arena.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis, data modeling, and briefing senior DoD leadership.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on time-sensitive, high-visibility projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, to include business process engineering and/or change management.
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance (required); SCI eligibility preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship (required).
  • Salary Range: $120,000 - $155,000, DOE


Education

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, or the sciences.
