The Boeing Company is seeking a highly-motivated, associate or experienced Systems Engineer to join the MH-139 Grey Wolf Engineering team in Ridley Park, PA. The successful candidate will support multiple engineering projects that interface with a complex network of internal and external stakeholders including Customers, Suppliers and Airworthiness Regulators to drive safe, compliant, timely and successful execution of engineering work scope that ensures the continued airworthiness of the MH-139 helicopter.

The ideal candidate will have a background in systems engineering, experience working with a US Department of Defense customer and experience with FAA or military airworthiness certification.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify lifecycle-balanced system solutions.
  • Evaluates customer and/or operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.
  • Performs multi-disciplinary analyses to ensure mission success.
  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and airworthiness processes.
  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues with a network of internal and external stakeholders.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Ridley Park, PA.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 1 or more years of related work experience in systems engineering, certification or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience (level 2).


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • (Level 2) - Bachelors and 2 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • (Level 3) - Bachelors and 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Practical knowledge of the processes, procedures and airworthiness standards for the certification of aircraft. ( e.g ., Federal Aviation Authority [FAA] regulations, Military Airworthiness Standards).
  • Practical knowledge of customer, regulatory agency, aviation industry and company policies, procedures and standards as they apply to regulatory compliance demonstration, technical documentation, customer operation and maintenance concepts, support products, and service-related problem resolution.
  • Candidate must have demonstrated excellent performance in a team-oriented environment with Internal, Customer and Supplier stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess type design data for showing compliance to airworthiness standards.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

Level 2-

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 3-

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range (level 2): $87,550 - $118,450

Summary pay range (level 3): $104,550 - $141,450
