What You Will Be Doing
Join Lockheed Martin's legendary Skunk Works® team in Palmdale, CA, and help shape the future of advanced defense technology. As a Business Development Analyst (Level 2), you'll play a vital role in supporting the Dynamic Targeting and Surveillance Systems portfolio-working alongside experienced capture managers and business leaders to identify, pursue, and win new opportunities. From supporting early-stage strategy development to executing key customer engagements and proposal activities, you'll be at the center of a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where innovation and teamwork drive success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategy and business development support across the full capture lifecycle-from opportunity shaping to proposal submission and program sustainment.
- Coordinate customer and executive engagements, including visits to Lockheed Martin sites, trade shows, and meetings with senior leaders across government, military, and industry.
- Serve as a pursuit integrator by supporting color team reviews, conducting competitive intelligence, developing internal capture documentation, and preparing customer briefings and materials.
- Maintain accurate portfolio data and documentation within Capture IT systems, including opportunity tracking and New Business Funds (NBF) management.
- Contribute to responses for Requests for Information (RFIs), white papers, and customer presentations that communicate value and innovation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Visual Communications, and Technical Engineering to ensure cohesive, high-quality deliverables.
- Support planning and logistics for key trade shows, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
- Travel occasionally to support customer meetings and events.

Basic Qualifications:
• Current Secret Clearance
• Bachelors degree or Higher
• Experience supporting multiple short-term activities while advancing long-term projects
• Proficiency / Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Desired Skills:
• Current Secret/Top Secret Clearance with SAP/SCI accesses
• Masters Degree
• Familiarity with Aerospace and Defense Industry
• Familiarity with Department of Defense programs and processes
• Experience with research and analysis or crafting presentations for senior audiences
• Self-starter with attention to detail and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $73,400 - $129,260. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
