You will be the Traffic Administrator for the Traffic team. Our team is responsible for coordinating and optimizing transportation and logistics for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) lines of business.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Traffic Administrator you will be responsible for managing carrier routes, shipping documentation, and freight‑bill audits to support both military and commercial requirements.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate carrier routing and schedule outbound shipments across all transportation modes (small package, LTL, FTL, flat‑bed, rail).

  • Prepare and transmit shipping documentation (Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, DD250, WAWF, SIR) using internal and government systems.

  • Audit freight bills, negotiate claims, and ensure cost‑advantageous shipping in line with contracts and regulations.

  • Interface with freight carriers, forwarders, and internal customers to resolve issues and improve processes.

  • and update transportation‑management data in SAP/TMS and related ERP tools.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience in commercial and/ or military transportation.

Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access Experience

Experience with the following modes of transportation for domestic shipping: small package (ground and air), less-than-truckload, full-truckload, and/or flatbed/specialized.

Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
-AAS degree or Bachelors degree.
-Experience with SAP (Systems Applications & Processes) preferred or similar ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) or MRP (Material Resource Planning).
-Knowledge of TMS - transportation management system.
-Ability to monitor and analyze optimal transportation methods to maximize freight optimization.
-Experience creating carrier shipping documentation including Bills of Lading and Packing Lists, and other required documents.
-Knowledge of DoD transportation and Government Freight Management systems.
-Experience working with internal and external customers.
-Demonstrated experience with problem solving.
-Experience in transportation, logistics or supply chain.
-Demonstrated critical thinking and decision making skills.
-Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
-Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
-Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
