The Systems Administrator at SHR Consulting Group, LLC will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role involves managing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and related systems to support business operations within the professional, scientific, and technical services industry. The Systems Administrator will proactively monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement security measures to protect data and resources. Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role managing Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco CCNA.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Background in cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards relevant to professional services.
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure in a consulting or professional services environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, network devices, and related infrastructure components.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
  • Implement and manage security protocols, including firewalls, antivirus solutions, and access controls to safeguard company data.
  • Perform regular system backups, disaster recovery planning, and ensure data integrity and availability.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to deploy updates, patches, and new technologies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users to enhance system utilization and resolve technical challenges.
