The Space Dynamics Laboratory's (SDL's) Building Space Management team is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Student Assistant to support our team in creating high-quality signage using a CO2 laser engraver and vinyl cutter. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of building users by producing clear, professional, and industry-standard signs.

The Space Dynamics Laboratory's (SDL's) Building Space Management team is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Student Assistant to support our team in creating high-quality signage using a CO2 laser engraver and vinyl cutter. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of building users by producing clear, professional, and industry-standard signs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates a CO2 laser engraver and vinyl cutter to design and produce signage that promotes safety and security for building users
- Collaborates with multiple teams to understand user needs and ensure signage aligns with SDL's branding standards
- Maintains the laser engraver equipment and ensures proper safety protocols are followed during operation
- Assists in the design process to create visually appealing and functional signs
- Ensures timely delivery of signage projects to internal customers while maintaining high-quality standards
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled as a Utah State University student
- Must have at least one year of school remaining
- Must be able to work 15-20 hours per week during semesters and up to 40 hours per week during summer months
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with various teams
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines
- Must be a US citizen, lawful permanent resident of the US, or other US person
- Familiarity with laser engraving equipment is a plus, but training will be provided
