Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment.
• Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of surroundings.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential disruptions or suspicious activity.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Work collaboratively with local authorities and/or emergency services as appropriate.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and site-specific requirements while carrying out duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
