As a Security Officer - Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Control access to the location by verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
- Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
- Provide customer service to clients and site visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the perimeter and key areas of the site to help to deter security-related incidents.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, observations, and incidents as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and team members while representing Allied Universal.
- Support site-specific security-related operations unique to chemical and petrochemical environments, such as monitoring for restricted material movement and reporting irregularities.
What We're Looking For:
- Availability across various days and shifts
- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Have at least one of the following: one or more years of law enforcement experience, two or more years of experience as a security-related supervisor or manager, or three or more years of security-related experience.
- Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
- Ability to work in settings with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
