MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).

GENERAL EXPERIENCE : Must possess experience or training which demonstrates your ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports.
WS-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE : Must possess specialized experience that demonstrates ability to plan and organize work assignments, review work requirements, and establish priorities to meet deadlines for a powered support systems function. The specialized experience must also indicate knowledge of the various lines of work performed by the powered support systems function and other sections involved. Experience must demonstrate the ability to deal effectively with other people and gain their cooperation in achieving common goals and experience which involved devising new work methods and procedures or improvements in existing work practices. Experience supervising through subordinate supervisors, or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate, skill at applying human relations techniques, knowledge of general supervisory concepts, knowledge of shop processes; and adapt existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
Possession (or previous possession) of AFSC 2A6X2 is optimum.

- Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations.
- Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.
- Determines skills, materials and equipment required to do the work.
- Participates in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests.
- Provides workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as the scheduling of projected work.
- Assigns tasks to be performed in a powered support system function.
- Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures.
- Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provided assistance on difficult or new problem areas.

- Notes and investigates work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which can be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors.
- Assured that equipment and materiel is available when needed.
- Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies. Schedules and approves leave of subordinates. Sets performance requirements and makes formal and informal performance appraisals.
- Maintains production reports and records.
- Initiates or participates in review and improvement of work methods, organizational features, and the structuring of positions to eliminate unnecessary positions and achieve optimum content in those remaining.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Conditions of employment

- Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or termination.
- May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period.

- This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in the Missouri National Guard prior to the effective date of placement.
