SPA has an immediate opening for a skilled and strategic Product Manager to support the Poland development and integration efforts. The Product Manager will play a critical role in ensuring that both the IBCS (Integrated Battle Command System) and the external components develop their respective software and hardware interfaces on time, ensuring readiness for key milestone events. This position involves managing the integration of multiple components, overseeing supplier relationships, and guiding supplier development tasks to meet the project's technical, cost, and timeline objectives.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities:
  • Interface Development for IBCS and External Components:
Ensure that both IBCS and the external components develop their respective software and hardware interfaces in a timely manner, meeting all technical requirements to be ready for critical milestone events throughout Poland development and integration.
  • Capability/Feature Roadmap Development for NAREW/WISLA Phase II:
Develop and manage a detailed capability/feature roadmap for the integration of four separate components with IBCS in support of NAREW/WISLA Phase II development. Track and ensure that all integration milestones are clearly defined, delivered on time, and aligned with overall project objectives.
  • Generate Feature/Capability Descriptions for IBCS Integration:
Create high-level capability and feature descriptions for each of the four components, identifying the necessary software and hardware interface requirements that IBCS will need to develop to ensure smooth integration and compatibility with WISLA Phase II.
  • Leadership Briefings and Milestone Tracking:
Regularly brief Solution Level leadership on the status of each capability/feature, highlighting key milestones, risks, and timelines for the required software/hardware interfaces, ensuring the readiness of all components for the WISLA Phase II project.
  • Supplier Development and Defect Management:
Manage supplier development tasks related to new capabilities, features, and defect fixes for integrated components. Ensure suppliers meet all quality, technical, cost, and delivery requirements, addressing any issues or delays that could impact integration timelines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., engineering) to ensure smooth component integration into IBCS and that supplier interfaces align with WISLA Phase II requirements.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in supplier management, component engineering, or procurement (depending on level), with a focus on defense or aerospace systems.
  • Prior experience with complex system integration projects, especially in military, defense, or aerospace environments, is highly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience in developing and managing integration roadmaps and timelines.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to brief leadership on interface development, milestones, risks, and timelines.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and project management tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to address technical integration issues and supplier-related challenges.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience working on IBCS, WISLA Phase I or similar defense programs involving complex system integration. Understanding of requirements and integration of software/hardware interfaces for command-and-control systems such as IBCS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with defense industry standards, regulations, and certification requirements.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships for both hardware and software components in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
