Description:
You will be the High Voltage Design Engineer for Lockheed Martin's advanced pulsed power programs. Our team creates high performance, high voltage systems that enable next generation capabilities for both defense and commercial customers.
What You Will Be Doing
As the High Voltage Design Engineer, you will lead the electrical concept, detailed design, and integration of high voltage hardware while collaborating with customers, vendors, and cross functional engineering teams. You will translate system requirements into safe, manufacturable designs and ensure they meet performance, reliability, and compliance targets. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed electrical designs for full HV systems, sub assemblies, and components.
• Performing HV clearance calculations, safety analyses, and component selections to satisfy performance and regulatory requirements.
• Creating 3 D solid models that incorporate electrical routing, grounding schemes, and HV safety zones.
• Building, integrating, and troubleshooting HV assemblies in the laboratory and test environments.
• Maintaining comprehensive design histories, as built records, and technical data packages in accordance with LM standards.
• Preparing and delivering clear technical presentations and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
• Producing detailed fabrication, assembly, and machining drawings ready for production.
• Generating and managing electrical and mechanical Bills of Materials (BOM) and configuration documentation for all designs.
• Leveraging Windchill, PTC Creo or comparable tools to control revisions and support manufacturing.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Experience in high voltage pulsed power system design and fabrication.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Creo, Solidworks, or comparable 3D CAD and production ready modeling.
• High voltage clearance calculations and HV component selection experience
• Simulation tools (e.g., COMSOL Multiphysics) for electric field and thermal analysis experience
• Strong written and verbal communication; experience presenting at technical conferences.
• Proven leadership, decision making, and conflict resolution capabilities
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret (or higher) security clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Direct experience with high-voltage/pulsed-power systems and hardware, nonlinear transmission lines (NLTL), or high power microwave (HPM) systems.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
