Responsibilities:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Qualifications:
ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:
This position involves interacting with optical, mechanical and software design teams to assist in the overall development of systems; planning and leading electrical engineering root cause analysis for electrical issues, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results to formulate and implement solutions to issues, contributing to the generation and maintenance of documentation, specifying, selecting and qualifying active and passive components; developing and benchmarking system performance models; developing and implementing test procedures, and evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently to determine approaches to challenges.
Hands on experience with optical communications hardware design and build.
Familiarity with lab and field testing of prototypes and research and development projects.
