ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (E30-2025-23396)

Bowhead seeks to network with an Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA.

***This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract***

Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment for electronic warfare systems. Duties will include:

• Responsible for directing system engineering of electronic warfare systems
• Prepares and implements directives to ensure effective engineering support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

***This position will require full onsite work at the Bowhead office or Navy installation. No remote opportunity for this contract***

• A BA/S is required in Electrical Engineering
• We will be looking to hire a mid level( 5 years of experience, and a SR level candidate, ten (10) years experience in electromagnetic system design, analysis and test with U.S. Navy/Joint DE systems including pulsed power, RF, Laser, and CIED systems and components.

• Demonstrated skills to design and develop specialized electronics
• Prior experience with legacy Electronic Warfare Systems is preferred
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
