As a Security Officer - Access Control Logistics in Boise, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.
As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to identify security-related concerns and address potential issues.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
- Assist with maintaining visitor and vehicle logs as required by site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Support emergency response activities as appropriate, following established procedures and coordinating with Allied Universal management and local authorities as needed.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to established guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
