Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Site - Full Time in Biloxi, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout a retail environment. Your presence and attentive service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff. This is a driving position, requiring a valid driver's license. You will use strong communication skills and a caring approach to respond to situations, support store operations, and deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the retail premises, including the interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with controlling access to restricted areas as required by location policies.
• Support Allied Universal in maintaining a visible presence to help to deter potential disturbances or unauthorized activities.
• Document and communicate security-related incidents and/or concerns according to site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred; ability to lift more than 20 pounds is also preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
