Employee will be assigned to Whiteman AFB, MO. Oversees and coordinates the work effort of assigned subordinate personnel in support of the unit's daily RPA operations. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of the RPA operations and maintenance (O&M) program at the Site Level. Accountable for production, supply, production control/planning and quality management aspects of RPA O&M. Acts as primary point of contact for customers at the work site level. Position reports to the Maintenance Manager and/or the Program Manager.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversees the plans, schedules, and work schedules to perform RPA O&M work operations.
- Interfaces with internal and external customers to support flying schedules and plan major maintenance events; completes daily and monthly operational reports.
- Manages and coordinates research and investigations into RPA O&M on-site issues or problems.
- Evaluates and documents employee performance.
- Makes recommendations to higher level supervision or management concerning hires, promotions, raises, and terminations.
- Interviews prospective new hire employees as required.
- Manages Site productivity on a day-to-day basis.
- Plans professional development of employees within the group.
- Counsels and advises employees.
- Writes reports and completes other routine correspondence.
- Communicates effectively with Customers as a senior representative of the company.
- Participates in advisory groups concerning training and management.
- Implements technical and procedural guidelines for performance of work in the group.
- Communicates with technical or administrative specialists.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Requirements
- Must have Bachelor's degree (with 06 years' experience); or Associates degree (with 08 years' experience) or High School diploma (with 10 years' experience), or have completed relevant military and/or vocational technical school curriculum.
- Minimum of five (05) years of diverse management experience; and excellent communication, analytical, project management and supervisory skills.
- Must have desktop computer skills with proficiency in full range of Microsoft Office products & online management tools; must be capable of preparing management level reports and presentations.
- Minimum of eight-plus years actual Aircraft and/or Comm O&M experience required.
- Must have working knowledge of basic and complex maintenance and repair procedures.
- Must possess thorough knowledge of technical publications related to Aircraft O&M.
- Must know theory and principles of operation of aircraft engines, accessories and components, theory of flight and electronic flight controls, and knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
- Must possess a basic understanding of TELNET and FTP processes, as well as the Microsoft Office Professional suite of software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- This is a non-traditional position that will support a flexible work schedule.
- Must be able to lift / carry items in excess of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must have current/active U.S. Driver's License.
- Must submit updated SF-86 within 30 days of hire start date.
- Must have a current DoD TS/SCI security clearance commensurate with the assigned duties. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a relevant career field.
- Prior experience as a Defense Contractor.
- Prior experience in RPA Aircraft/Avionics/GCS maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of electronics maintenance and repair.
- Understanding/experience installing, upgrading, and administering operating systems and application software in multi-user client/server environments, including UNIX and LINUX.
- FCC radio telephone license.
- Current IAT Level II Certification.
- Prior experience with online management tools such as SharePoint and/or OnPoint.
