Compensation:
The wage range listed represents the potential compensation opportunities for this position. Starting salary will be thoughtfully determined by the hiring manager based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, education, relevant skills, and qualifications brought to the role. The initial offer could be any amount within the posted range, reflecting our commitment to fair and competitive compensation.
Where you'll work:
You will work onsite in Crystal City, VA initially and then transition to onsite in Manassas, VA within the first year.

This DoD organization manages the resourcing, development and sustainment of one of our nation's most coveted and capable platforms. An average day:
As Network Administrator II, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the network infrastructures within domestic and international environments and data centers. This role contributes to a large enterprise effort on a federal contract, focusing on ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network systems. You will collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional IT teams to implement network solutions and troubleshoot issues effectively. Additionally, in this position you will:

An average day:
As Network Administrator II, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the network infrastructures within domestic and international environments and data centers. - Assist in the management and maintenance of Cisco-based network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement troubleshooting measures to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with IT teams to support the integration of new network solutions and technologies.
- Implement network security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with federal standards.
- Maintain documentation related to network configurations, procedures, and operational standards.
- Provide support and guidance to junior network administrators and assist in their training and development.
- Participate in capacity planning and network upgrade projects as needed.
- Coordinate with vendors for network equipment procurement and support services.
- Ensure adherence to SLAs and assist in reporting on network performance and incidents.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to contribute to network improvements.
- As a requirement of this position, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen. In accordance with 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(2)(C) , Epsilon will not consider candidates for this position who do not meet the aforementioned conditions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
- Must hold a current 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on Cisco technologies.
- Knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP) and basic network architecture principles.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
- Basic understanding of network security measures and familiarity with firewall technologies.
- Exposure to VPN solutions and secure remote access technologies.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) related to network operations.
- Familiarity with cloud networking concepts (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Must have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility or have an active Top Secret with SCI eligibility. ( This is a federal contract position and requires candidates to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust. Adjudication of the required Security Clearance or Public Trust is determined solely by the government. If the government determines that the candidate cannot obtain and/or maintain the appropriate level of Security Clearance or Public Trust, Epsilon will be unable to place the candidate in this position.)
