Job Summary:

B&A is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to support a federal government client in delivering secure, scalable, and innovative technology solutions. This role involves designing and enhancing security architectures for mission-critical applications, particularly within containerized and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will lead technical teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and provide strategic recommendations to improve system security and performance. Responsibilities include developing security solutions for AWS GovCloud, implementing DevSecOps practices, and contributing to architectural decisions for microservices and portal frameworks. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, values-driven environment that emphasizes growth, recognition, and partnership.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and extend MeF security solution architectures.
  • Provide recommendations/architectural options and solutions, especially related to security for migrating MeF to containers and to the Cloud.
  • Coordinate team activities related to security vulnerability remediation and responding to customer requests.
  • Attend meetings and provide recommendations related to the Portal within which MeF applications run.
  • Maintain and/or create contractual deliverables in accordance with IRS templates.
  • Provide LoE estimates for Impact Assessments and VROMs.
  • Provide recommendations for implementing DevSecOps practices on MeF.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 + years of experience.

Required Skills:
  • Experience developing, in collaboration with stakeholders, including customers, partners, project teams, and vendors, security architectures for large, complex programs.
  • Experience in leading team(s) of architects and/or developers.
  • Strong customer communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience developing security architecture for applications running in the Cloud.
  • Experience developing security architecture for applications running in containers.
  • Experience developing security solutions for AWS GovCloud.
  • Experience with microservices security.
  • Experience with architecting Spring Boot applications.
  • Experience enhancing Portal architectures.
  • Experience in developing DevSecOps solutions on complex projects.
  • Experience with the Linux platform.
  • Experience with CM tools, such as IBM Engineering Workflow Management (EWM) and Git SCM.
  • Experience developing (V)ROM estimates in response to requests for new work.
  • CISSP Certification
