Position Summary
Leidos is seeking a skilled Interoperability Test Engineer to support the ACCA5JI JINTACCS mission at our customer site in Langley, Virginia. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the certification of Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems for compatibility, interoperability, and standards conformance prior to Joint Interoperability testing. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems meet MIL-STD requirements and integrate seamlessly with other TDL platforms.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or IT. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in each of the following (within the last 10 years):
Clearance: Top Secret required; SCI/SAR eligibility preferred

Position Summary
Leidos is seeking a skilled Interoperability Test Engineer to support the ACCA5JI JINTACCS mission at our customer site in Langley, Virginia. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the certification of Tactical Data Link (TDL) systems for compatibility, interoperability, and standards conformance prior to Joint Interoperability testing. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring systems meet MIL-STD requirements and integrate seamlessly with other TDL platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
Technical Support & Testing
- Support all phases of Air Force service-level multi-TDL platform/system/net-centric services testing.
- Assist with Joint-level interoperability testing and certification as needed.
TDL Capability Identification
- Determine which TDL functions require testing for USAF C3I systems.
- Coordinate test scheduling via the Participating Test Unit Coordinator (PTUC).
- Track certification progress using approved tools.
Government Liaison & Documentation
- Attend meetings (virtual or in-person) including TIMs, Test Plan Working Groups, Integrated Test Teams, and Design Reviews.
- Advise USAF program offices on TDL and protocol implementations.
- Prepare documentation such as:
- Request for Certification Information (RFCI) Surveys
- AFSIT Waiver Requests
- AFPTU Tasking Letters
- MIL-STD Compliance Certification/Non-Certification Letters
- Request for Certification Information (RFCI) Surveys
Test Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with SPOs throughout standards conformance and interoperability testing.
- Review and provide feedback on:
- Test plans, procedures, scripts
- Information Support Plans
- Net Ready Key Performance Parameters (NR-KPPs)
- Test configuration drawings
- Test plans, procedures, scripts
Test Observation & Analysis
- Observe certification testing and document issues.
- Analyze test data to validate trouble reports and assess operational impact.
- Support Technical Analysis Group (TAG) meetings with findings.
Joint Testing & Certification
- Participate in planning and development of Interim Certificates to Operate (ICTOs).
- Attend Interoperability Steering Group (ISG) and Joint Analysis Review Panel (JARP) meetings.
- Provide technical interpretation of multi-TDL standards and operational procedures.
Research & Reporting
- Develop background papers, staff studies, talking papers, and presentations as requested.
- Review Information Support Plans on the JASM website to verify MIL-STD alignment.
- Support TDL integration into USAF C2 and non-C2 platforms, including Joint and Allied operations.
Requirements

- Reviewing test plans and reports for Multi-TDL C&I Certification
- Applying Multi-TDL standards (MIL-STD 3011, 6011, 6016, 6017, 6020, 6040, 188-220, 2045-47001)
