Leidos’ Airborne Solutions Business Area (ASBA) is seeking an experienced Capture Analyst to support critical new business pursuits.
The Capture Analyst will serve as an essential resource for the Airborne Solutions business development and capture management team, providing tactical research and analysis as well as capture strategy formulation. The selected candidate will conduct in-depth analysis of prospective DoD customer environments, organizations, stakeholders, leadership changes, mission objectives, policies and directives, congressional testimony, budget exhibits, programs of record, technical requirements, contract obligations, hot buttons, protest decisions, acquisition strategies, solicitation documents, technical requirements, and competitive landscape, etc. The successful candidate will deliver actionable intelligence that will impact numerous elements of capture strategy including customer understanding and engagement, industry partnerships, key hires, marketing campaigns, and win themes while positioning Leidos competitively in the marketplace. This role will require demonstrated ability to understand the business development process, environment, and tools used to identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the defense industry, specifically airborne systems, including full life cycle systems development, sustainment and operations.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct tactical opportunity-specific research and analysis using a variety of industry tools
- Provide detailed opportunity assessments that provide capture managers and senior leaders with situational awareness and aid in the qualification of bids
- Develop government call plans through the examination and interpretation of customer organizations, stakeholders, mission, technical requirements, budgets, hot buttons, etc.
- Analyze previous solicitation documents to highlight potential future requirements or noticeable scope changes and corresponding impact to Leidos Pwin
- Inform customer engagement strategies (i.e. shaping requirements and acquisition approach)
- Develop and prioritize industry call plans and document competitor strengths, weaknesses, technical capabilities, discriminators, investments, certifications, credentials, key personnel, new hires, past performance, strategic intent etc.
- Augment capability gap analysis and inform industry teaming decisions through the identification and selection of key partners
- Identify opportunities for strategic positioning (i.e. strategic hire, marketing campaign, M&A)
- Serve as a key contributor to the capture plan and overall win strategy / value proposition
- Contribute to the preparation and facilitation of the Leidos Win Plan collaboration sessions and other required gate reviews
- Work with the ASBA team to develop and execute capture plans during all phases of business development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with 12+ years’ relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 10+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS Clearance required.
- Knowledge and experience with manned and unmanned aerial systems domain.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive Industry or Department of Defense (DoD) experience working business development activities in support of manned and unmanned aerial programs.
- Formal business development and capture training.
- Experience and comfort interfacing at all organization levels, to include executives.
