The Aegis Ashore Network Engineer is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for ADNS and CANES. Supporting the US Navy's Aegis Ashore site in Deveselu, Romania providing corrective and preventative maintenance, repair, alignments and assessments, monitor and analysis of system conditions and assist their military counterparts in maintenance and training engineering and network requirements. Provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) expertise in troubleshooting system issues and implementing upgrades as needed. Will play a supporting role in achieving the U.S. Navy's goals by providing expertise assisting to resolve CASREPs and during CMAV's and SRAs. This position plays a critical role in NATO's integrated missile defense architecture conducting operations to counter evolving ballistic missile threats. 
CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES
 
Ability to perform the following independently, under minimum supervision:
 
Design and implement network solutions based on organizational needs and best practices.
 
Configure and maintain network devices and services (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless access points).
 
Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics to resolve complex network issues.
 
Monitor network performance, analyze traffic, and optimize for efficiency and security.
 
Maintain and update network documentation, diagrams, and procedural guides.
 
Collaborate with IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on network projects and upgrades.
 
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and support staff.
 
Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
 
Minimum of three (3) years and possess a deep understanding of:

Cloud networking concepts

IAT LV II - Security + Required
 
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) - Required

OSHA Hazwoper certified ( required after start )
 
Red Cross CPR - ( required after start )

PAY RANGE
 
$90,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually, DOE, plus additional internation allowances

SECURITY CLEARANCE
 
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
