Data Scientist / Developer
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA (On-Site / Hybrid per Government direction)

Position Overview
STi is seeking a Data Scientist/Developer to support the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) under the Industrial Capability and Warstopper Support Services program. The selected candidate will design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions that improve industrial base visibility, automate analytics, and enable data integration to support DLA’s readiness and supply chain mission.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain data analytics tools and dashboards using Qlik and related platforms to support DLA program objectives.
• Design and implement automated data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration across enterprise systems.
• Collect, process, and interpret large datasets to identify operational trends, risk indicators, and performance metrics.
• Research and propose technical solutions to address data processing or visualization challenges.
• Test and validate data models and system enhancements prior to agency-wide deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineers, program analysts, and leadership to translate analytical insights into actionable recommendations.
Required Qualifications:
• Active Secret Clearance
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university, with at least one degree in a technical or science discipline
• Information Assurance Certification: Level II IT Certification (required)
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of experience collecting, automating, and integrating data processes
• Demonstrated experience structuring and testing data pipelines for performance and scalability
• Experience in software and hardware integration for data processing environments
Technical Expertise:
• Proficient in Qlik, data visualization tools, and development environments
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications:
• SAS Certified Data Scientist
• IBM Data Science Professional Certificate
• Microsoft Azure Data Scientist Associate
• Experience supporting DLA or DoD data systems and supply chain programs
• Strong background in data governance, automation, and API integration
